TATTOO AFTERCARE
Taking care of your new tattoo is essential for proper healing and long-lasting results. Follow these aftercare instructions closely to protect your skin and preserve the detail and depth of your piece.
Day 1: Immediately After Your Tattoo
Your tattoo will be covered with a bandage or protective wrap. Leave this on for 4–6 hours unless instructed otherwise.
Once removed, wash the area gently with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap.
Pat dry with a clean towel or allow it to air dry. Do not rub.
Days 2–14: Healing Process
Apply a thin layer of tattoo ointment or a fragrance-free lotion 2–3 times daily.
Avoid soaking the tattoo in water (no baths, pools, or hot tubs).
Do not expose your tattoo to direct sunlight.
Expect some peeling and light scabbing—this is normal. Do not pick or scratch.
What to Avoid
No heavy sweating or intense workouts for at least 3–5 days.
Avoid tight or abrasive clothing over the tattooed area.
Do not use scented lotions, alcohol-based products, or anything not recommended.
Long-Term Care
Keep your tattoo moisturized to maintain vibrancy.
Use sunscreen on your tattoo once it is fully healed to prevent fading.
Schedule touch-ups if needed to maintain sharpness and contrast over time.
If you experience any signs of infection such as excessive redness, swelling, pus, or fever, contact a healthcare professional right away.
